ARSE

have broken my glasses. £400 of varifocal, anti reflective, lightweight lenses :(

and I have to go to Sunbury today to see a potential client, wearing glasses through which I can't see as well as I'd like, and don't suit me at all.

and then will have to go to Vision Express and spend inordinate amounts of money on new ones.

Arse! Indeed! I think that's a remarkably restrained reaction under the circumstances!

Yus, won't do much good *now*, but Vision Express do a £15 insurance deal as I recall that means they will replace them if they get broken. I know this, because I think they thought I had spectacle related Munchausen's when my little boy was 4/5 and he broke his glasses all the time and they kindly replaced them!

Mine were covered on my house contents policy under "personal effects outside the home". Handy when the mainsheet flipped them off my nose and into the depths of the River Hamble a few years back.

Well, if you are coming back to Sunbury anytime soon, give me a call, I work in Sunbury (right next to the train station) and live three miles from here in Feltham.

And what they all said about insurance, well worth checking.

Very restrained of you if "arse" is as far as the swearing got. Take care and definitely check out that insurance - it has been very worthwhile with my husband who has a habit of not looking where he is standing or if there is something where he is about to sit down.

Oh, foo. Glad you did have a spare pair.
