this is really quite scary ..

I think I might be starting to like Frank Zappa. Help me, someone.

This is a good thing.

Now if it was Westlife then you would need help.

Ah Zappa. Marvellous. Great songs, great guitarist, if a little s t r a n g e.

this is not necssarily a really bad thing.

be worried if you start to like S Club 7, or worse S Club juniors..

I read that as you might be starting to 'look' like Frank Zappa...
Which would probably be more worrying?

Um...yeah...that would be because he'd dead. :-(

I agree - there are plenty more worrying possibilities (Westlife - or any saccharine boy band for that matter, Gareth Gates, Barry Manilow, etc etc). Don't worry about it and it will either pass or you will learn to live with it.

The first college paper I wrote back in nineteen mumblety-mumble was entitled, "A Freak For All Reasons," and was about Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. He was a brilliant guitarist, if a tinge eccentric; after all, he did name his kids Dweezle and Moon Unit. If you ever get a chance to find an old album of his incidental solo music called, "Shaddup and Play Yer Guitar," and "Son of Shaddup..." do give a listen. It's a chance to hear a rock virtuoso at the top of his form.

It's just Stockholm Syndrome.

You'll love it. It's a way of life.
As stated above, it can only be a Good Thing if you have finally discovered the wonderful world of Uncle Frank. Start worrying, however, if you suddenly develop a taste for Andrew Lloyd Webber or Chris de Burgh.
