I have catalogued the DVDs - at least, the titles are all in the database. I have some doubts about the probity of the data.
I used DVDpedia to enter them, and it found some very dodgy data on doing its lookups. Lawrence of Arabia starring Steven Spielberg?!
never mind, I'll can edit it as I have time, and I can export the data into CSV, from whence it can go into mySQL and onto a web page or two if I feel like it.
what? how many?
139 titles, but a fair few of those are boxed sets. The frightening thing is the value, which appears to be in the region of £2.5k [scream].

a good night
May. 1st, 2004 11:53 pmwent to see John Martyn at Colsonall.
he looked tired, but played a blinder, and the backing musicians were terrific, particularly the keyboard player. I went to look at the site when I got home to find out who he is, but there are no details there, and the site is really Not Very Nice. Perhaps we should offer to write a proper one.
was talking on IRC this afternoon to DHM (WINOLJ), who reminisced that he saw John Martyn play with Danny Thompson; now I've seen Danny play with *Richard* Thompson many a time. RT is one of my absolute favourites, and I thought I'd just nip on to Google and see if he's touring soon ...
and lo and behold, he's touring this month, so a quick phone call got us a couple of tickets to see him perform in Coventry on 16th May - hurrah!
and now, off to bed, Nite awl.
