it's beyond me why supposedly competent companies put up with such poor coding ... I've just sent the following to www.holidayautos.com

"*if* you are unable to write proper DOM compliant HTML (and there's no reason why you shouldn't - I'm a professional web developer, and I can do it), then you should at least have the courtesy to inform your customers _before_ you abandon them part way through your booking process."

well, there was quite a lot more, but like an idiot I forgot to copy the rest before I sent it. Put it down to rage.

I got all the way to the "book" button, then it refused to tell me what it had done, then refused to show me the booking ref I had. I had to go and load up IE [shudder] to find out if everything had gone through.
