lunchtime break
Nov. 15th, 2005 03:00 pmwell, that was a pleasant interlude. Our new neighbours, Matt and Andrea (WANOLJ, AFAIK), have recently acquired a greyhound.
Blaze (for it is he), is seven years old, and had been in Holly Hedge, the local animal sanctuary, for five months, after being picked up as a stray.
he's a greyhound, and we met him on Friday night - lovely dog, with a delightful personality. Last night, Andrea popped round to say that they were both going to be out for a long day, and could we possibly check Blaze at lunchtime.
so we donned coats, attached his lead, and took him for a brisk walk through the local woods for about half an hour. I don't know which of us enjoyed it more, to be honest - it was a nice break for us, and certainly Blaze found plenty to sniff, and widdle on.
we shall tell Matt and Andrea that we will be delighted to walk Blaze when required. *And* they will feed the cats while we're away this weekend - a win-win scenario, I think!
