oh, the traffic is just *dreadful*

I was amused/appalled to read a piece in our local paper yesterday of a meeting in Congresbury (N Somerset), where people were complaining about the traffic, and thus objecting to the building of a mini-supermarket on the A370, the main road.

One woman took *20* minutes to drive the 1/4 mile from her house to the meeting hall.

I'm assuming that she's disabled, because 1/4 mile?  In a car?
