I'm not looking forward to the next few days ... [livejournal.com profile] perlmonger says he's going to try to give up coffee.

him giving up smoking was bad enough, but I think this is going to be worse.

It'll be fine.
As long as you can put up with the snooring and dropoff in productive work due to random sleepage :)

Stop him! Whatever it takes! No-body should give up coffee ... it is too dangerous!

I'm giving up caffeine for Lent; not for religious reasons but I like the annual experiment in willpower. And I'm curious to see what effect, if any, it will have. I'm an intermittent coffee drinker but a prodigious drinker of tea (not quite in the Tony Benn category but I could give him a decent run for his money). Fortunately, I like herbal tea so a hot drink will not be a problem.

meep!

Could be scary. He's not going cold turkey, is he? The headaches and mood swings can be pretty fierce.
