guess what [livejournal.com profile] perlmonger and I will be watching this evening?

waah ... neither of the DVDs will read in this here Mac G4's drive. So no sneaky preview. Will have to trundle downstairs and check it in the grown up player.

Very tempted, but I am waiting for the special edition one with the extra scenes. OK, I know the original one is long, but we will be able to pause this, take a break and rejoin it. And I know we are sad.

I'm waiting for the whole dang lot to come out as a super-fabby box set of the director's cut with all the deleted scenes and a blow-up Gollum or summat. It's bound to happen!

yes yes - but we buy *that* one when it comes out, and sell / give away this one. We did that with FotR (but didn't bother with TTT). But this is by far the best movie, and we actually turned out to see it twice in the cinema. Didn't want to wait till November to see it again.
