perlmonger's Doc Martens, which have expired only seven years after he bought them - shocking workmanship.
he had the sole of one mended once, but now they are splitting all over the place, and he was shipping water on Saturday; a man doesn't want moist socks, so they had to go. We left them in the vile hotel (more on that story later), and on the way back from our weekend in teh Smoke formarypcb and sbisson's lovely wedding, we stopped in Brissle to get him some more.
they are *identical* to the last pair - he wouldn't even really consider looking at anything else. Not really a style maker, my husband ... :)
