this cold is very well, thank you, which is more than can be said for me.

I woke up in the early hours of last Wednesday morning (that's 9 days ago, not 2) with a sore throat, and it's just gone on and on from there. Sniffles, fever, horrible cough, sinus pain.

I've done hardly any work, as I can't concentrate on anything - someone has packed my brain full of cotton wool - and I can't sleep; I was up at 5.40 this morning.

I would just like it to *go away* now ... it's outstayed its welcome by a huge margin.

Did you somehow share this evil with me? I would be immensely sympathetic but I am too hot/cold/snotty/cotton wool brained to do so very well.

Still recovering from a bout of flu contracted over 2 weeks ago. It's down to a persistent dry cough now. A few more days and I hope the cough will be gone.
