3. sung solo in St Giles Cathedral, Edinburgh


4. had one guest at our wedding that neither perlmonger nor I had ever met


5. been across the Forth Road Bridge the day it opened. Four times


6. seen a blue whale from 100 ft away - the biggest blue whale that the whalewatching company had ever seen


7. been the ship's mascot for a Royal Navy frigate during the cod war


8. spent a night in a public toilet


9. had diptheria


10. lived with a black Bengal cat (although, sadly, he's no longer with us [sob]

not what you think, I'm sure! Especially as I was only about 11 years old at the time.

I wasn't allowed to go to sea with them, which quite upset me at the time.

I've done #4. One of Adam's friends from school assured us up until the day before the wedding, that yes, he was bringing someone, but no, he didn't know who. I had to write the placecard as "Tom's Guest". She turned out to be a very nice 12 foot tall model in a gold lame dress. Whenever my mother looks at our wedding photos, she feels it necessary to harp on and on about the absolutely stunning girl in the gold dress.

I've done #4 too, two people at my wedding brought people with them who neither of us had met, one was the girlfriend of the groom's brother. And we all live in the same country.
