laundry

I would just like to say that there is now *no* laundry in the linen basket.

it is all washed, dried (on the line) and put away, with the exception of two items that weren't quite dry, and they are hanging in the bathroom.

this is such an extraordinary state of affairs for the Jordan household that I thought I'd share it.

oh - and the chests of drawers are bulging :)

Empty linen basket? You deserve some kind of award, some certificate like the kids bring home from school. Good grief, I dream of seeing the bottom of the linen basket. Ahh, one day...

well, there are only two grownups* living here, although I have no idea how we generate as much washing as we do.

Wow! Congratulations.
I have a friend who had three children and one of her ambitions was to get to the bottom of the ironing basket. The youngest leaves for university this year and she thinks she may finally reach her goal.

*grin*. We don't iron, as a rule. But when I finally *looked* in the bottom of my ironing basket, I found clothes that were a size 14 (I'm an 18 now).
