popped into Waterstones yesterday to pick up the new Terry Pratchett, and emerged somewhat poorer ... those three for two offers are very tempting.

• Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami (picked it up because of the cover, and the blurb looked very interesting


• Tell Me No Lies: The Best of Investigative Journalism by John Pilger


• Divine Invasions: A Life of Philip K Dick by Lawrence Sutin


• Wilt in Nowhere by the wonderful Tom Sharpe

my reading heap grows ever higher ...

also picked up The Catnip Kit - the little darlings go crazy for the stuff, so I thought I'd have a bash at growing our own.

I can vouch for the Murakami and the PKD biography. Both excellent - though you should also get hold of Carriere's "I am alive and you are dead" which attempts to psychoanalyse PKD in more depth!

ah - the PKD is for perlmonger - I'm not much of a science fiction fan.

hurrah! you shall have to let me know what you think of Haruki Murakami - have been thinking of reading this for a while as am always drawn to it but not sure...and have just finished 'Wilt in Nowhere' - was fabulous if a little bizarre!
