In my role as a Jewish-born agnosto-atheist former church school governor I can only say that you have my deepest sympathy - prepare to be VERY bored and/or frustrated for several years to come.

well, that's encouraging :)
actually, they all have to stand for re-election in August, so I'll probably only have to serve six months. Do we get time off for good behaviour?
