Apr. 18th, 2004 01:52 pmwe have decided it's time to rationalise the cars - keeping four is a ridiculous waste of money. The plan is to keep Pete's Xantia (because he loves it so much), and sell the Moose (Landrover Discovery), the Ape (MR2 twin turbo), and the FTP (Mitsubishi FTO GPX_ - all sensible offers gratefully received!
we plan to replace this with something small and sporty, but not hooliganesque - so Alfa 147, Peugeot 206 GTI, something of that ilk. So we went round some garages this morning gathering brochures.
got to Templegate Peugeot, and asked for a 206 brochure. They wouldn't give us a brochure without taking our name and address, which I wouldn't give them. They had no privacy policy, no concept of a privacy policy, and just kept stating that "it was company policy".
I'd write and complain, but then I suppose they'd get my name and address ... although I'm quite tempted to ask the Data Protection mob about this.
