Sep. 8th, 2004 04:05 pm.. my faith in human nature is being restored. This cannot be right.
the DVLA failed to send me a reminder notice for the Ape's* tax disc. So when I got in the car on Monday, I got a bit of a fright. Dug out the V5, the insurance certificate, and the MOT ... expired.
so I rang John the Garage, and booked it in for today - I was confident it would pass, as it had had a *big* service a couple of months ago. When we dropped it over, he had his computers all over the place, and told us he was having new machines, broadband, new garage software, etc - and couldn't get his existing software to back up. We talked about it a bit, said "give us a call if you can't get it sorted", nattered to him about firewalls and routers, and departed.
when I went to collected it (passed - phew) - he'd MOT'd it FOC, as a thanks for the advice.
* twin turbo grey import MR2 - 12 years old and still goes like stink. I love it :)
