If you would not have met your significant other/spouse etc without the internet, post this sentence in your journal.
I don't know if CIX counts as t'Internet, but that's how Pete and I first "met" - we don't know how long we've known each other online, but it's many, many years. I first met him IRL when I visited the CIX house in Llanwrst - that would have been about 1994, I think.
we got together as a couple in 1997, atstevewpalmer's "I'm going to work for Microsoft" party; a couple of weeks after that, he came to Bristol for the weekend, and never really went home - he made occasiqonal forays back to Wimbledon from time to time, and returned with CDs and books and so forth, moving in by stealth :) We got married in May 1999 [boggle - is it really that long ago?]
so I guest we should thank Steve for it all :)
