fed up with the ever increasing bloat of Firefox and Thunderbird, I have this afternoon downloaded the latest build of Seamonkey for OSX.

and how refreshing it is - things work *much* more smoothly and speedily. A good call.

but... that's *exactly* what people were saying a year or two ago about Firefox.

I don't know what the answer is. Make a nice fast minimalist browser app and everyone wants it cos it's fast and just does browsing. Then everyone starts adding shit into it, next thing you know it's huge and slow and everyone craves a nice fast minimailst browserr app that ist just fast and just does browsing...

Firefox has, in recent releases, been dumbed down to a horrible degree.

Grab Camino (http://www.caminobrowser.org) before it gets infected then.

Thanks for the heads-up - yet another browser for me to check for compatibility issues...

I wouldn't bother - it's pretty much the same as Firefox, rendering-wise, and only very sad geeks use it :)

I'm sure we've had this discussion several times already. Camino does not have the extensions I need to do my job.
