if you go to see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest - and oh yes, you certainly should - make sure you stay to the very end of the almost interminable credits for the closing scene .. it's lovely.

otherwise Johnny Depp still gorgeous, Keira Knightly and Orlando Bloom still irritating, Bill Nighy *fabulous*, special effects wonderful. Some glorious choreography in sword fights, lovely hamming it up from all concerned, and an excellent night out.

oh, and there was a dwarf who looked just like a small version of [livejournal.com profile] latexiron - very unsettling.

I'm really starting to fancy Orlando Bloom. It's most disconcerting. He is still a crap actor, though.

oh, he's way too insipid for me. I liked him as Legolas, but never as anything else.

This is the only film in which I have ever lusted after him. He didn't do anything for me as Legolas, and the only other thing I've seen him in is Kingdom of Heaven, which was such a dreadful film that any individual impressions the actors may have left have just been forgotten.

I didn't *fancy* him as Legolas, I just liked his portrayal :)

It didn't leave much impact on me, to be honest. He seemed to be a pretty little thing in the background most of the time, but my memories may have been clouded by the LotR Secret Diaries! ;-)

I almost fancied him in Kingdom of Heaven, but his dreadful acting put me off.
LOTR is the only thing in which I've seen him turn in a decent performance.
