freaked cat ran across my face at 1.45 a.m. Bruised eye - very painful and bloodshot, and a couple of scratches very close to the eyeballl (that's me, by the way - not sure how the cat is).

waiting for the chemist to open so perlmonger can go and buy me an eyepatch, then I can rest the eye for a couple of days.

apparently I woke up screaming like a banshee, and frightened P to death. I was quite frightened myself, as it happens.

In any case, painful though it is, the eyepatch can only enhance your witchly mystique. Can you get one in black?

well, I was offered a choice between black or...

...something worse.

I think the one I bought looks quite stylish, though it doesn't coexist well with /\/\ac's glasses.

perlmonger returned from the Eyepatch Emporium saying that they did one in pink (which would presumably be ideal for flickgc should she ever be unfortunate enough to require one - would match her drink). Not really my sort of colour though.

thankfully, he brought me a black one. Now all I need is a bottle of rum ...

Ow, ow, ow!

Once, when I was sick, and sleeping far later than my dogs thought reasonable, one of them tried to wake me by pawing at my face. Just as I opened my eye. Ended up with a scratched cornea. Got to drive to hospital, instead of lying in bed resting. After letting the dogs out, and in again, that is. Ah, memories!
