ramtopsLong Ashton has reached its ADSL trigger level this morning [hurrah!].
although we have Telewest cable modem here, it doesn't give us fixed IPs, and so I am on to BT right now to order a BT line, and will then be on to Merula to get the ADSL sorted out.

BT line goes in Thursday 21 August. Now to find a dual WAN router.

Date: 2003-08-15 02:26 am (UTC)It was a bit of an anticlimax though - plug in, and it works. I do like hearing it do the asynchronous sync up too, sad modem user that I have been (although I dont think I'll try whistling to achieve a 512Kb/s or better connection..)
Do you really need two connections? I presume it's for the redundancy rather than the increased speed.
