we went to Torpoint. We have returned *without a kitten*.

we started out with good intentions and high hopes. I found a breeder who had only one kitten available, and that only seven weeks old. So we couldn't come home with her, because she is far too young. So far, so good.

we saw the kitten. We fell in love with the kitten. We said we'd have the kitten at the end of November.

we said "what a good thing that you only have one available, because we're hopeless where kittens are concerned".

Carol very helpfully explained that she had a friend - Julie who had a Burmilla litter a week younger than Carol's kittens, and that Julie had one female unsold. "No, no", we cried, "we have to get back to Bristol and time is getting on." But Julie was, literally, at the other end of the road ..

so we went. We saw. You *know* what we did. We've been mugged by the Cornish Cat Mafia, and we never felt a thing.

so Lilith and (name so far undecided, but probably) Liessa will be with us at the end of November. And may $deity have mercy on our souls.
