a trip to the vet
Mar. 2nd, 2004 11:38 amwe took the Midwich Kittens in to Judith this morning, so that they could be neutered. I *hate* the idea of them undergoing surgery - they're still so tiny - but needs must.
Judith is utterly smitten by them, and mused aloud on how well one would look with Josh, her lilac Burmese; and so we think it would be a kindness to take her the details of the breeder when we go and collect Lilith and Liessa, don't you?
we also popped Iggy in a basket and took him with us, as he has seemed not himself for the past few days. Glad we did - he has an abscess under his tail [ouch]. We told Judith that Iggy was unpillable, so she promptly proved us wrong by giving him an antibiotic with no problem, and then instructing us on how to do it.
I hold out little hope for our success, to be honest, but we can but try. If you see no further postings from self and

Date: 2004-03-02 07:16 am (UTC)the only times he has been ill, we have had to drag him backwards and forwards for antibiotic jabs every couple of days. I doubt very much that we will be able to pill him ourselves - Judith had the element of surprise on her side, but he's ready for us now ....

thankfully, Judith has given us whopping great antibiotics, so he only needs half a pill once a day. Although it will cost us a fortune in chickie! if it continues to work, and I have my doubts about that.
