Gosh. My local Fox News-derived channel is much less offensive than that. Maybe because it's the one for Southern California, or maybe I've just not been watching it at the right times....
Could we not call this "the American view" but *an* American view? I know lots of Americans who would be as appalled by that bit as you were. It's really not fair to call one commentator on Fox News (which all my friends loathe) representative of the views of 260 million people.
